Our recipe and method is as close as you can get to the Benne Wafers made on our local plantations over 300 years ago. We hand-make our Benne Wafer as well as all of our other scrumptious treats with only all natural ingredients, including Butter. We have been selling Gourmet Cookies for over 20 years consistently, under the same ownership with the same Recipes and ingredients. If you’ve been through the Historic Market or the Farmers Market then you’ve probably tried ours. We also travel throughout the Southeast visiting Arts and Crafts Shows so you may have met us there too. Have you tried one or our Charleston Tea Cookies? About 17 years ago we started experimenting with our famous Benne Wafer by substituting different ingredients. Our first new cookie was the Old Fashioned Gingersnaps which is based on my grandma’s Norwegian recipe and they are more of a sweet mild ginger that all kids love rather than a spicy gingersnap. Our next delectable treat was the Charleston Pecan Tea Cookie which is great for pecan lovers with a buttery pecan texture. Our latest flavor is also our most popular, The Charleston Lemon Cooler, an incredibly thin lemon cookie topped with cool lemon zest to add a zing. Check out our New Products We are known for having Charleston’s Best Benne Wafer but our newest flavor will get your mouth watering. Our newest flavor is the Benne Cheddar Royal made from fresh cheddar, with a cayenne pepper bite. We have also added Chocolate Chip Tea Cookies, a classic Tea Cookie filled with mini chocolate chips. They are very popular with kids! We will soon be releasing Raspberry Zingers, and Key Lime Coolers.
